Delegate Scholarship Information

Last year, our legislative office was pleased to award more than $75,000 worth of scholarships to 105 students across District 10. These awards provide students attending a 2-year, 4-year, skilled trade or technical institution with funds to help subsidize the cost of enrollment. The 2025-2026 scholarship application is closed. The 2026-2027 scholarship application will open next year. To receive scholarship announcements, please contact our office and subscribe to our newsletter at jennifer.white@house.maryland.gov. 

Eligibility Criteria:  

• If you currently attend or will be attending any college or vocational school in Maryland next year, taking at least 6 credits. 
• If you live in District 10. Visit www.mdelect.net to confirm. 

How to Apply: 

Create a student login on the Maryland Higher Education Commission website: https://mdcaps.mhec.state.md.us/MDCAPS/login.aspx

Complete your FAFSA by Maryland’s deadline. You can do this online at https://fafsa.ed.gov/ or by mail. 

Complete The Maryland State Financial Aid Application (MSFAA Guidelines): Allows qualified children of undocumented immigrants, who qualify for in-state tuition under §15–106.8 of the MD Education Article, to apply and be considered for certain types of State need-based financial aid. 

• Available online on your MDCAPS portal to applicants who are ineligible to receive federal aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (Note: If you qualify for the MSFAA Application, do not fill out a FAFSA Form)
